Day 11 of 12: Browned Butter Blueberry Muffins :)
Putting that muffin pan to use again!
My brother asked me to make him some blueberry muffins as a part of my 12 Days of Baking. I thought that blueberry muffins would be perfect for our Christmas breakfast, so that’s exactly what I did. :)
I perused a bunch of different blueberry muffin recipes online, on All Recipes and on the different baking blogs I follow. I found this recipe, posted by Joy the Baker, to be the most appealing. The muffins were pretty tasty, but a little on the doughy side, which is a given considering how thick the muffin batter was (I knew I should’ve added a little more milk while I could’ve). I enjoyed the crumb topping and the taste of the muffin. If I ever use this recipe again, I’ll definitely up the amount of milk. In any case, these were a lovely little Christmas breakfast treat. :)
P.S. Notice how lovely the weather is outside? It’s a bit windy and cold, but I’m loving the sunshine. :) It hardly looks like December outside; the only thing that’s keeping me convinced are the biting low temperatures.
